Remarks & Notes |
An eastbound Mason City to Marquette freight sits in the siding at New Hampton waiting on a meet back in 2002. Engineer Amundson and Assistant Engineer Galkin talk over whatever as they wait. The train was pretty power short as was most trains out of Mason needed 4 bigger horse units to make the 1.4% Calmar Hill. Surprisingly the SRY set wouldn't go fast, but they would pull...as the train would make Calmar Hill around 6 mph this day. This train probably came off the Jackson Sub over the weekend, as that would be about the only time the SRY's would venture out of Wells in the later part of the IMRL days. |
