Remarks & Notes
NS 151 OS's Sparks, Georgia on the GS&F District with a trio of CN motors, a C40-8M, SD50F and SD75. Sparks, Georgia is the only CTC controlled CP on the GS&F which is where the Georgia Florida RailNet heads west for Albany seen in the foreground. The Georgia Florida RailNet is also the original remaining route of the Georgia & Florida from Nashville, Georgia west via this location to Moultrie. Prior to the 1960s takeover by Southern Railway of the Georgia & Florida, there was diamond located here with the GS&F. (Slide Scan)

Freight Cowls are standard locomotives that have a hood that extends the full width of the locomotive. Sadly, most Freight Cowls have been retired, but a few still run on short lines.
