Remarks & Notes |
A loaded oil train works down the Marquette Sub near New Albin. The railroad gets away from the Mississippi River as they swing out of the New Albin towards the Kains Siding along a few Wildlife Management Areas located along highway 26 near the Pool Slough. The train is about 34 miles north of Marquette in far northeastern Iowa. As the sign states, the drive is scenic, especially in the fall. |
