KCS GP38-2 #2023 moves a cut of cars to the north end of the yard so that outbound train M-NSJA, shown in the background can grab them and head west to Jackson, MS.
The 45 year old Geep was originally built for the Boston & Maine as their #202. It's always nice to see and hear these older units. It's one rebuild away from getting a fresh coat of Southern Belle paint and most importantly Air Conditioning.
Although the battleship grey is now becoming a rare thing, I for one prefer the more attactive Southern Belle paint, but that's just me!
