| NS 153 tackles the curves and grades of the East End District at Lovick, Alabama near Irondale. The lush greenery of Kudzu covered hillsides will soon give way to a drab brown with the winter months ahead. The Kudzu vine is radically abundant in the Southeastern United States and covers much of the landscape near neighboring rail lines. Kudzu, native to Southeast Asia is rumored to have the capability to grow upwards of twelve inches a day although I have never tested this theory. |
