Remarks & Notes
Three oil-burning, logging locomotives, all unique in their wheel arrangements, under steam, captured late at night in the yard by the engine house at the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad in Garibaldi, OR. From left to right, the newly restored Columbia River Belt Line 2-4-4-2, "Skookum", which is privately owned, center, is McCloud Railway #25, a 2-6-2 Prairie Type, which is currently owned by the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad, and to the right, Polson Logging Co. #2, a 2-8-2 Mikado type, which is also privately owned. The 3-engine line-up was orchestrated Lerro Productions and ran after one of several daylight excursions. The Oregon Coast Scenic is also home to several additional steam locomotives, as well, including two 2-truck Heislers (Curtiss Lumber Co #2 (operational) and Craig Mountain #3 (restoration)), a 3-truck Heisler (Sunset Timber Company #1), and on display, sitting to the far right, just out of view, a 2-8-2 with Southern Pacific markings (a nod to the former SP branch that the OCSR operates over) though, in reality, the locomotive is former Polson Lumber Company No. 90. The railroad is also home to an operational F7, No. 274, once owned by Doyle McCormack, painted in Great Northern's orange and brown livery.

A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
