BNSF Brookfield Sub somewhat parallels the busy Transcon mainline between Galesburg and Kansas City. While the Transcon see heavy traffic levels, the Brookfield sees only a handful of miscellaneous trains each days, along with the Thomas Hill coal trains. What is nice on the Brookfield is there is alot of old CB&Q searchlight signals left and no PTC hardware found in 2018! Lucky for me 2 eastbounds and a westbound train would work over the Brookfield this mid-morning. After meeting 2 eastbounds at Lakenan, this westbound Wilmar, MN, to KC freight rolls thru the west end Anabel. Lots of the sidings on the west end of the Brookfield are used for intermodal storage like here at Anabel.
