SP&S No. 700 gazes out the window of the Oregon Rail Heritage Center, anxious to head back out on the high iron. Unfortunately, for now, No. 700 is unable as its caretakers, the Pacific Rail Preservation Association, are in the midst of a federally mandated 1472-day boiler rebuild and inspection. A rather thorough physical of sorts, which began in 2016, and if all goes well, will wrap up sometime in 2019. The "medical bills" are quite expensive, however - wanna help?
