On September 17, 2018, the CN Osage Sub was officially shorten to MP 83.6, couple miles west of London. The trackage to Glenville has been out of service for awhile now, and looks like its going to be permanent thing? Back in 2008 the Cedar River Local still came out to Glenville for ethanol transloader Poet Biorefining that trucked ethanol downtown for loading. Here the crew is crossing the Shell Rock River on the eastside of town with a WC 6005 and a few cars for Glenville. Back in the early IC days, Glenville was a connection for the IC to get on the Rock Island to access Albert Lea. Those days ended around 1985-86. The WC 6005 was retired off the CN roster and this was some of the last trips the unit would work. On 1-09-09, the 6005 would depart Waterloo bound for the Woodcrest deadlines, 11 days after this photo.
