The Eagle Grove to Fort Dodge local begins the trip out of Eagle Grove. The train is passing the distant signal for the diamond on the southside of Eagle Grove. The diamond was removed sometime in 2006 area and a wye was put in. Back in the glory days the Chicago Great Western (Belmond-Omaha Route) crossed the Chicago Northwestern (Blue Earth-Ames Route). Now days the routes are dead end branchlines that make up UP's Iowa cornlines. This train, with the old setup, would have to pull south of the diamond, then shove onto the CGW trackage, before going west over the diamond again to head for Fort Dodge. The UP 369 is the ex-CNW 4604.
