Six cars of the CTA Heritage Fleet were used to run a "fund raiser" to benefit the Fox Valley Trolley Museum which was vandalized last summer. The train was also run express to recreate the Evanston Express. The color scheme gives a hint that the Boeing 2400 series debuted in 1976, at the heart of the Bicentennial era. After 38 years, the 2400s are retired from service, except the Heritage Cars and twenty more cars known as ”work motors.” The “fund raiser” is pictured on the reverse curves at North Ave.
