A fitting end for the Goderich-Exeter Railway. On the afternoon following the region's first major snowstorm, and CN's takeover of the (now former) GEXR Guelph Subdivision, Quebec & Gatineau 2008 lugs CN train no. 432 through the countryside at Mosborough, ON. A shot of redemption for those trackside after GEXR's rather unceremonious departure from Southern Ontario the day prior. Although these locomotives don't read "GEXR", their character is everything railfans came to love the railroad for — you just can’t beat old-school EMDs hauling heavy-duty tonnage at speed. Perhaps things didn't end the way people had expected them to, but as far as I'm concerned, this send-off was good enough for me.
