| Portrait of the SNCF BB 20212. The BB 20200 are dual frequency machines, mechanically similar to the BB 17000 "Dancers", able to circulate under the French 25kV 50Hz and the 15kV 16.7Hz Swiss or German, produced in thirteen copies. Because of their small number and modest power, the BB 20200 only operated border-crossing goods trains between yards on the Strasbourg to Kehl and on the Mulhouse to Basel lines. The locomotives of the 20200 class were all withdrawn from active service between 2003 and 2006. The BB 20210 is today preserved at the Cité du Train in Mulhouse in its original green paint scheme. |
