After the southbound CSX Q237-01 slowly make it's way south out of Stevenson, AL (MP J-112.8 Stevenson) on the main 1 track, CSX Q210-01 (Cayce,SC-Smyrna,TN) receive a signal, slowly creeps north on main 2 track heading north for the end of the double track main. In the mist of all this cluster, we're watching a welder team trying to quickly wrap up what their doing to the frog, and get in the clear for the incoming freight. Extreme cation is being made especially following the heel of a tragic incident in Estill, SC where a welder was stuck, by a train a few days prior. With an extra set of eyes watching Q210 creep closer, and also reminding the welder it's time to get in the clear. Often times from a railfan prospective we tend to forgot that the railroad is a tough, and dangerous job, and anyone that work on the ground and around heavy equipment in the railroad environment risk their lives everyday just to keep the economy moving. #CSXstrong
