Remarks & Notes

With a late fall snowstorm having dumped a few inches of the white stuff throughout Virginia and much of North Carolina, track geometry train W003 is running down #2 track while testing for defects. On point is arguably the most unique locomotive on the roster, GP40WH-2 #9969, formerly a MARC unit, Conrail before that, and was built for the New York Central in 1957 as GP40 #3071.
