On December 1st, 2018, the Toys for Tots train made its way over the NS D&H. After reaching its final destination, Delanson, a special move was needed to switch the E8's to the back of the lashup. In order to do this, the two SD60Es leading the train were moved to the SMS interchange track and the E8's moved under their own power to couple to the rear to the SD60E's. This is likely the last time they will move under their own power because of their lack of PTC.
