Railcar with baggage compartment, BDe 4/4 # 2 of the association Depot und Schienenfahrzeuge Koblenz (DSF) stopped at Bad Zurzach during the dining car round trip from Basel via Koblenz-Bülach-Otelfingen-Frick back to Basel. This railcar was built in 1966 for the Wohlen-Meisterschwanden Bahn (WM) and is running for the DSF since 2004 as "Aargauer Pfyl" (Aargau arrow). The dining car, where the guest enjoyed a fondue (hot swiss cheese speciality), is a red former Deutsche Reichsbahn (GDR) MITROPA car, owned and operated by the Haltinger Speisewagen Freunde (HSF), based at Sissach.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
