The day after Christmas doesn't mean the end of North Pole Express trains at the Valley Railroad in Essex, Connecticut. Trains continue typically until the 28th of the month, running four trains a night. Here, Valley veteran No. 40 brings the second NPE of the evening north over old Deep River Road in the village of Centerbrook, located in Essex, Connecticut.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
