In the late 1990s, Conrail OIPI (Oak Island/Newark, NJ - Pittsburgh/Conway, PA) operated via the Trenton Line. On this day the train was led by a pair of GP40-2s which was somewhat unusual as two six-axles would have been the norm. At the time, Manville Yard was typically full of covered hopper cars heading to/from the Union Carbide "Bound Brook" facility (which was located mostly in Piscataway).
