| In early February much of the UK received a dose of snow. While much of the country woke to a white landscape on on Saturday 2nd, few places woke up to as much of the white stuff as Basingstoke where around 1ft of snow had fallen. Amazingly the day also dawned sunny presenting a photographers paradise.
66534 is seen at Worting Junction with a Freightliner bound for Southampton. Engineering work should have diverted trains via Andover (under the flyover) however due to the cold temperatures the work was abandoned and the usual route through Winchester remained open. |
