Remarks & Notes
I am five miles east of Julesburg where the U.P. line from North Platte spilts to head to Denver or Cheyenne. Eastern Colorado may look flat but the 20,400 H.P. on the head end of this westbound manifest will be needed to get to Denver, the Mile High City or Cheyenne which is 6,063 feet above sea level. Julesburg is 3,478 feet above sea level.

The EMD SD (special duty) series are a strong and reliable kind of locomotive which still serve America's rails today. They have proved themselves reliable by clocking in several million miles of freight service over several decades.

Railroading in the 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, basically anything but the 2000s.
