The Iowa Northern has been working towards getting themselves better setup for winter weather. The railroad purchased 2 plows to help keep the railroad open. Unfortunately moisture in the air lines today cause the plow to experiences many issues and the crew wasn't able get the wings out on their 1st ever plow action at the Iowa Northern. The crew ended up just nose plowing between Rockford and Nora Springs. Here the crew works the area that had a train stuck back in 2009. After this work the crew headed towards Manly to get the plow inside and unthaw it. Look forward to adding the IANR to my list of snow plow railroads in Iowa during winter.
