Everything in this photo is gone! New South Wales had 50 of the 3,600hp 1500v DC locos built between 1983-85. 8647 is in the livery it was delivered in, 8619 received a special livery to commemorate Australia's bicentenary. They were photographed on the ready tracks at DELEC which supposedly stood for Diesel Electric Loco Engine Centre which has now been demolished. The last regular freight operations ceased in 2002 and these two locos were scrapped within a few years.
