The CN had 2 sets of BNSF power on the locals between Waterloo and Sioux City. On Sunday, February 24th, both sets of power did their fair share of busting drifts between Waterloo and Fort Dodge in the blizzard. CN didn't have any plows out yet, so the power got plenty full. The 5210 has been cleaned off by the Waterloo Roundhouse and is now leading the daily Waterloo, IA, to Kirk Yard, IN, manifest train. Here the engineer hangs on as the train pushes him up to track speed thru one of the many hogbacks that this railroad was layed over. A real time roller coaster running trains over this Dubuque Sub. The train is about 20 miles east of Waterloo.
