Remarks & Notes |
I chased this westbound Union Pacific coal train from Helper to Soldier Summit this day. The weather in Helper was fine; the weather further west and at higher elevation was not fine! Above Price River Canyon on the uplands between Kyune and Summit a ground blizzard was blowing. Not snowing, just blowing. This shot is taken from the shoulder of US6 just below (east) of Kyune and the wind was not too severe. If you look closely you can see some snow blowing around, but not much. See my image # 690751 for the weather at Kyune proper about 3 miles further west. I was not able to take any shots at Summit due to the access roads blocked by snow drifts. |
