Long before the owner of Georgia Northeastern decided to sell the company, it was just another day of shortline railroading on the former L&N Hook & Eye. Georgia Northeastern GP18 Nº8705 is seen southbound at Nelson, Georgia on December 9, 2009 during it's run to Canton. 8705 still remains on the Patriot Rail, GNRR roster although today the unit is chop nosed, it's the only active survivor on GNRR rails from the carrier's first generation Geeps.
