| Pennsylvania Northeastern's latest motive power acquisition is parked in the shadow of the new Septa parking garage adjacent to Lansdale station. Both are obviously former CSX SD60s. CSXT 8711 (ex-CR 6842) had an interesting history, being built as EMD demonstrator EMDX 2 before being sold to Conrail where it joined two other demo units on the roster. CSXT 8701 was built new for CSX in 1989. |
