White Pass and Yukon Route MLW DL535E 103 idles peacefully at the Lake Bennett station in secluded British Columbia. The 1969 Montreal Locomotive Works product has just completed the Carcross, Yukon Territory - Lake Bennett, British Columbia leg of the trip for the day, and still has yet to enter the United States and descend the famous White Pass.
DL535E 103 was one of the five units sold to a narrow gauge Columbian shortline, the Societad Colombiana de Transporte Ferroviario (STF), in 1988 as it was not needed at the time. 11 years later, in 1999, it was repatriated back to the WP&YR where it has remained since.
