Over the years, I witnessed several different ways to split a train into Montreal and Ottawa sections when it arrived at Brockville, Ontario from Toronto. Here, the first three coaches are being set off on the siding behind the station. The power, along with the baggage car, will then return to the coaches on the main line to continue to Montreal. Meanwhile, the FA partially hidden behind the Montreal power will grab the dropped coaches for the trip to Ottawa.
