A Once Of A Lifetime Event
The American Association of Private Railroad Car Owners (AAPRCO) is having its 35th Annual Convention at the historic Southern Rwy Union Terminal “Chattanooga Choo Choo.” What a way to kick off the event than a massive passenger train arriving that afternoon from the Nation’s Capital with 30 of the most impressive, preserved passenger cars from different parts of the country. NS 011 The “Chattanooga Limited” led by a trio of Amtrak P42’s pull high passed the 23rd St interlock to clear the switch to the wye at CT-Tower just to shove the first 10 cars into Terminal Station, and the rest of the train will tie down at Onion bottom till the conclusion of the Convention. Excitement was in the air as this was the first time since May of 2000 where a cross country passenger train pull by Amtrak makes an appearance in the Scenic City |
