A Westbound empty coal drag crosses the Platte River at the small community of Linoma. The name Linoma comes from the fact that the community marks the half-way point between Lincoln and Omaha. On a side note, yes, that is a lighthouse in the background and it is one of the few lighthouses in the state of Nebraska. It protects the Platte River which is nutoriously shallow, usually never more than a few feet deep, usually less.
