Took a 2 day vacation from work and headed out with my kids. We traveled to southern Iowa and the Ottumwa Sub for maybe the last snow storm of the season? At MP At 343 on the Ottumwa Sub is the small little town of Lucas. This town sits at the bottom of Whitebreast Hill west of Chariton. Lucas has a neat little park called Burlington Park that was established in 1996. The park shows off its heritage with a good looking BN caboose the boys liked! A McCook, NE, to Galesburg, IL, high priority freight passes by.
