| The Iowa River Railroad has just setout their inbound cars for the CN to the north end of the interchange tracks at Ackley. Soon they'll run to the other end to pickup and head back home. This crew doesn't take long to get their work done most days, like today, the crew was done by 11am. They go to work at the ethanol plant by Cleves and make an Ackley Turn to do interchange work with the CN. This is an old M&St.L mainline that has around 9 miles left that is run by the Iowa River Railroad who main customer is the Pine Lake Ethanol Plant. Cool to see a beatup GP30 still operating in 2019. |
