| 750 loaded Belmont coal drag rolls through a sorta out of the way spot in Belmont, NC. Just behind me this spot used to be where 5th street extension crossed the NS main. But that has since been replaced. I also thought it's fitting to get a coal train here cause these yard tracks used to house strings of cars for the Duke Energy Allan steam plant in here in Belmont. Back in the heyday they used to get a Belmont from the south. And another from the North. Those day's are long gone. So as always coal is keeping the good people's of Belmont's light's and AC running. For now. |
