Going away for a while or for good? SEPTA PCC II 2321 (ex-SEPTA/PTC 2738) passes under the Frankford Avenue El Girard Avenue Station at the intersection at Frankford and Girard Avenues on the afternoon of Thursday, May 2, 2019 at one of the signature shot locations of the Route 15. A group of 18 of these 1947 built PCCs were rebuilt by Brookville and delivered to SEPTA in 2003, debuting on the Route 15 with its inauguration in 2005. Impending summer maintenance looks to have this line's streetcars replaced with buses for several weeks, and with their service years advancing, rumors abound about their return.
