Get the shot first—then dig the car out The DPU of a BNSF coal train pushes the hoppers westbound off the causeway west of Trout Creek, Montana, on February 2, 2019. We’re waiting for some fresh snow, but meanwhile, the stuff that is still on the ground is turning to slushy mess. Crappy tires on the rental don’t help, and it’ll take a while to get the car back to pavement in snow that’s like wet concrete. A friend’s Jeep, a local’s pickup truck, and a couple of tow ropes will complete the job back getting the thing back to Martin Creek Road. In this view, we get the shot first….
