Remarks & Notes
Built in 1898, El Hacho Bridge was designed by Gustave Eiffel's studio and although were his collaborators who executed the project, they were directed and supervised by the author of the Eiffel Tower. With a length of 624 meters, it is the longest metal bridge in Spain and was in service until the mid-70s of the twentieth century, when it was replaced by the current concrete viaduct through which the Talgo Madrid-Almería runs dwarfed by the colossal work.
