CDTX SC-44 2110 leads Amtrak train 1573 (San Diego to Los Angeles) in Anaheim, California, on October 28, 2018. The Pacific Surfliners' long-time power, F59PHIs, are being sold to Chicago's Metra commuter operation, and these new locomotive are now breaking in as they are received by Amtrak in Los Angeles. CDTX 2109 and 2110 are the only two Surfliner SC-44s that are missing the blue on their rears.
