KCS Job 16 is seen slowly moving into the town of Wiggins, Ms, behind three of the last motors holding out on the KCS roster in the battleship grey. Down to just a handful of four or five motors this lash-up is the last holdout in the country for KCS SD40-2's in the classic scheme. Now that most of the GP powered locals have belle geeps mixed in this really is becoming the last holdout for the classic battleship greys. Leaving Gulfport at 8am these guys haul to Wiggins to switch hood industries, and then move north to Hattiesburg. They swap at CN bell yard, and are usually headed back within a few hours. Here they're standing tall in Wiggins framed nicely by the state's Magnolias that the city has planted throughout the town. The show still goes on, but for how long? Last time I was here two prior greys were already in the stunning Belle scheme, and more will soon follow...
