Remarks & Notes |
An empty coal train with a locomotive on each end crosses Pope Lick Trestle on the outskirts of Louisville. The trestle was built by the Southern Railway to span Pope Lick Creek on the mainline between Louisville and Danville. The bridge is also the site of an urban legend where a supposed half-man, half-goat creature lures people to cross the trestle where they get hit by an oncoming train. Multiple victims have been killed by trains here searching for this urban legend. |
