Since hiring out over here, I'd been trying to get a shot of these surviving Santa Fe searchlights on the west end of the yard in Wellington on the Transcon. After our long deadhead down to the AFHT, witness BNSF Train Z WSPLAC7 09L with an SD70ACe leader splitting the heads at CP 2385 on the BNSF Panhandle Sub. With a fresh Amarillo crew onboard for the trip to Texas, the rear of the Z train is just now clearing the Emporia Sub., depot, and inbound KC crew tying up.
