The Sun has dropped below the horizon, and we find ourselves at the easternmost semaphore signal of the Raton Subdivision. On chance I caught this movement, as only Amtrak 3 and 4 usually ply this line (I missed getting 4 earlier, having gotten off it in ABQ, I wasn't expecting it to be late as it was). Having wrapped up a massive tie replacement project on The Raton Subdivision of New Mexico (30 plus miles), the tie gang leaves on a work train for points east from Colmor New Mexico.
Taking a look at the same train and scene as captured by different photographers. The best way to view will be to sort by photo date so the photos are grouped together.
