Remarks & Notes |
"The World's Whitest Beaches" The southern coast line. For several miles after turning out of Goulding Yard the Florida Gulf and Atlantic Railway's P&A Subdivision briefly follows the coast line into Escambia Bay before making a sharp eastern turn across the bay over the John T. Collinson Bridge and disappearing into the Florida pines. Here an FG&A freight rushes north (railroad east) down the blue waters over the coast line on a beautiful morning while storms build in the Gulf. The buildings on the horizon are on the other side of the bay as we are looking to the southeast. |
