On August 19, the Virginia Museum of Transportation’s 4-8-4 steam locomotive, N&W 611, began its trek to Strasburg, PA, behind NS C40-9W 9214. The 611 and support equipment were supposed to be in Enola, PA late this evening, however it appears that it will be an early am arrival. Train is seen crossing the trestle just north of the town of Troutville, VA.
Taking a look at the same train and scene as captured by different photographers. The best way to view will be to sort by photo date so the photos are grouped together.
