For the most part, NJ Transit's locomotive roster now has PTC installed. However, there are times when the system fails. Most of the time the unit would be cut and replaced. Well, not this time. 4201's PTC failed and as a result of no spare units in Bay Head, a cab car was placed on the head end of the train, which can be seen here as train 4366 crosses the Manasquan River in Point Pleasant.
