Remarks & Notes |
A unique sight during the "Furka III" photo event, organised by Peter Minder. Two steamtrains of the Furka Mountain steam railway (Dampfbahn Furka Bergstrecke) are following each other up through the Rotten gorge on a incline of 11.0 %. First is HG 3/4 # 4 from 1913 with the 2-axles-cars passenger train including 3 freight cars. Second is the heavy HG 4/4 # 704 from 1923 with the 4-axles-cars train including the 2-axle combined second class/baggage BD # 2502, which is on the 47 meter long Mässweid slope viaduct. In the background are Pizzo Gallina 3061 meter on the left and Mittaghorn 3015 meter a.s.l. |
