The former Deutsche Bundesbahn express train steamlocomotive 01 # 202 from Lyss/Switzerland, stopped in Aulendorf for taking water, on the return trip from Stuttgart via Ulm-Freidrichshafen-Singen-Schaffhausen. Train RE 4215 of the Deutsche Bahn with diesel locomotive 218 # 432 and another of the same series in multiple traction is overtaking the steamtrain. The RE 4215 is running from Stuttgart to Lindau via Ulm-Friedrichshafen, with diesel traction between Ulm and Lindau. The line between Ulm, Friedrichshafen and Lindau Aeschach will be electrified in 2021.
