A Magical Ending. Following four epic, consecutive days of steam locomotives operating on the Grand Canyon Railway, powered by none other than GCRY 29 and GCRY 4960, who would have thought one of the most stirring moments of the trip would come by the railway's diesel powered train at Williams. In this scene, GCRY 239 eases its train into the storage tracks with another day's trip to the canyon complete.
Landscape photography is difficult due to the challenge of combining good light and good scenery. Good railroad photography enters another level of complexity since it requires the first two while there is a train in view.
