| Something extra at the rear. VIA 601 and VIA 603 normally each have an F40, a baggage car and a single coach and are combined leaving Montreal, before splitting up at Hervey Jct. Here though the 603 portion (at the rear) has two F40's back to back (rare for VIA) and four cars total, including Park car Revelstoke Park. The extra power and cars are for a special excursion train running from Senneterre to Amos in northern Quebec. The back to back power will be needed to run around their train. |
