Mon River, Wider Than a Mile, I'm Crossing You in Style, Some Day...
Mon River Industrial Group SW900 "Marla" was found in Allenport, Pennsylvania, on September 20, 2019. This named, but unnumbered, engine was built by EMD in March 1955 as MSW 28. From there, however, the former owners gets a bit murky, as I have found references to this engine having been, at some point, Aliquippa & Southern Railroad (ALQS) 801, Cleveland Works Railway (CWRO) 801, Wisconsin Public Service Corporation (WPSX) 5 and MTSX 003. I cannot verify any of these yet ... so, help is welcome.
